The Heyse

The Heyse is the adaptive re-use of a historically significant structure in the vibrant Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland.   It was originally developed as luxury apartments in 1893, redeveloped as offices in the 1980’s and virtually abandoned up until the purchase by our client.

The developer, Kirt Montlack, was successful in obtaining historic tax credits for the project.  In addition, it was designed and renovated to meet green criteria that allowed the project to receive special tax abatement from the City of Cleveland.

The Project Team consisted of us as Architects and IEC as Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical engineers.   It was completed in 2019.
